We suggest trimming your wick to 1/4" inch prior to lighting your candle.

Always allow the candle to burn long enough in order to achieve a full "melt-pool". The wax should be melted to the diameter of the container before extinguishing. 

Leaving your candle lit for too long in a single burn may increase your chance of an improper burn, smoke, and soot build-up.

Trim your wick! Before lighting your candle, be sure to trim the wick to 1/4".

This helps your candle last longer and reduces presence of black smoke and soot build-up.

The flame should never exceed 1/2" in height. If this occurs, safely extinguish your candle, trim the wick to 1/4", and relight your candle.

We use a specially formulated blend of coconut wax and soy wax. This has proven to be the cleanest burning and most environmentally friendly wax we have tested.

This is a common occurrence among natural waxes. Since we do not use any additives or dyes in our wax this may happen but does not affect the way your candle burns. This is more commonly seen in colder climates.

We use a blend of safe-synthetic fragrance oils and essential oils. Our fragrances are sourced from companies who are leaders in natural ingredients and essential oils. Each Lehmann Design Haus fragrance is mixed and made in small batches.

No! Phthalates are a family of industrial chemicals used to soften PVC plastic and as solvents in cosmetics and other consumer products. We do not use these chemicals in our products.

We were originally located in Los Angeles, California, but have since relocated our studio to Santa Barbara, California. All our products are made in-haus and by hand.

Orders are processed and shipped within 1-4 business days. This excludes The Estate Candle which may take longer to process due to this product being custom made.

We cannot issue refunds for lost or stolen packages which have been confirmed as delivered to the shipping address. If you believe your package has been lost or stolen, please contact the carrier and provide them with the tracking information provided in the confirmation email.

We accept returns on products purchased directly from within 7 days of receipt only if the product broke during shipping. This excludes The Collection Kit. Please take a photo of your product and send it with your order number and explanation to and we will proceed to resolve the issue. The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
